CHINESE MOONCAKE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 CUP FLOUR
  • 1/2 CUP BEROIA SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
  • 1/4 CUP BEROIA SHORTENING
  • FILLING (RED BEAN PASTE, NUTS, LOTUS SEEDS)

PREPARATION :

To prepare Chinese Mooncakes, combine 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup Beroia sweetened condensed milk, and 1/4 cup Beroia shortening to form a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 25g portions, flattening each into round discs. Choose a filling such as red bean paste, nuts, or lotus seeds, placing a small amount in the center of each disc. Seal the edges, creating a ball shape, and use a mooncake mold for traditional patterns if desired. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), bake the mooncakes on a sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden, and let them cool completely before serving.
